United Educators Association Endorses Beverly Powell for State Senate
Fort Worth, TX—The United Educators Association, Texas (UEA) has announced their endorsement of Beverly Powell for Texas State Senate. UEA is an independent association representing over 20,000 North Texas public school employees. Powell, an outgoing Burleson ISD Trustee, has focused her campaign on investing in Texas neighborhood schools and taking care of our teachers.
"Beverly Powell has dedicated her life to promoting education and defending teachers. She is the type of common-sense leader Tarrant County students, teachers and parents need in Austin fighting on their behalf," said Steven Poole, Executive Director of United Educators Association, Texas.
Candidate for State Senate, Beverly Powell, said, “I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of the United Educators Association. Their commitment to affecting the lives of North Texas educators is unmatched. I’m committed to fighting for Texas educators and their students as a member of the State Senate, and I’m proud to have the United Educators Association by my side.”
The endorsement of Powell by the United Educators Association follows recent endorsements by Annie’s List, Congressman Marc Veasey, State Rep. Chris Turner, County Commissioner Roy C. Brooks and Fort Worth City Councilwoman Kelly Allen Gray.
